St Helens House - Georgian Town House, Office Conversion, Derby
A Grade I listed Georgian townhouse built by Joseph Pickford of Derby in 1766, once belonging to inventor and civil engineer William Strutt of the Strutt Mill owning family.
This beautiful , historical building had undergone periods of being a grand family home to a Grammar school, then severe neglect until being converted into commercial offices in the early 2000’s.
I was given the task of helping the new owners to decorate and furnish this large Palladian mansion for modern use, but with a sympathetic nod to it’s past, all within a very tight budget.
